Mission:  To produce modern data-driven web designs for agency clients.

Position overview: The Web Designer will be responsible for creative digital design concepts and maintaining projects for agency clients. These designs will be implemented in a standards-compliant manner and serve to further the branding and business opportunities for clients of the agency. They will work collaboratively with designers, copywriters, SEO, and brand strategists throughout the design process to create user flows, wireframes, and prototypes. Attention to detail and the ability to think outside of the box are key characteristics that are essential for the continued growth of the Digital Creative team.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Create user interface designs that take into account User Experience (UX), responsive design, and mobile-first strategy
  • Create designs that are SEO friendly
  • Be familiar with implementing user experience and data driven design strategies: Research, Personas, User Flows, A/B testing, etc.
  • Establish aesthetic identity of client sites using information based on research and current branding
  • Create clean structured mockups with development and functionality in mind, including responsive layouts and mobile friendly experiences
  • Work closely with copywriters and developers to help guide projects from conception to launch
  • Help with post launch updates and enhancements as assigned
  • Stay current with industry trends and best web practices and technologies
  • Create effective marketing and advertising materials for clients as needed (including email marketing, landing pages, digital ads etc)
  • Ability to brainstorm and collaborate with creative team members on new ideas and concepts as needed
  • Ability to talk through ideas and designs with team members as well as clients, as needed

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 2 years, preferably 4+ years professional digital designer experience with excellent samples of design ability
  • BS/BA Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Possess basic knowledge of HTML/CSS, prototyping, and wireframing tools
  • Extensive knowledge of current tools: Adobe Creative Cloud, Sketch, InVision (Marketo/marketing automation software and Workfront/project management software knowledge/experience are a plus)
  • Experience working with development teams and producing designs across multiple devices
  • Ability to absorb information quickly, complete jobs quickly and accurately, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate solid project management and communication skills
  • Self-motivated, disciplined and able to work effectively as part of a team or individually
  • Ability to take direction and follow department procedures
  • Passion for learning in an ever-changing industry
  • Outstanding design portfolio
