MISSION:  To take care of the day-to-day processes so that members of the Media Department can meet their outcomes.

 

POSITION OVERVIEW:  The Media Support position touches almost every aspect of the department.  She/he has regular reoccurring responsibilities that contribute to the success of the department, but also stays available enough to help others (particularly Media Buyers) with their day-to-day tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Request and check TV station contracts against placed Media buys (quarterly), and work with stations to correct errors before schedule begins. Organize and file orders and contracts.
  • Eleven ownership: Assist Buyers with station makegoods and order confirmations. (daily)
  • Assist YP Coordinators with checking phone numbers. (bi-monthly)
  • Aid in manually inputting invoices in Strata. (monthly/as needed)
  • During the Invoice process, send Makegood requests for Under Invoices to the stations and enter the number of pre-empts in client critical stats. (monthly)
  • Check Accounting Sheets for all clients against what has been transferred into cj Track. (monthly)
  • Batch Match calls in cj Track. (monthly)
  • Print off Program Tracking Reports and highlight time periods for Media Buyers. (monthly)
  • Manipulate and enter weekly call data into cj Track. (weekly)
  • Request and enter monthly case signup information into cj track. (monthly)
  • Assist Buyers with updating Rates and Program information in cj Track and Strata. (quarterly)
  • Assist buyers with running quarterly posts.  (quarterly)
  • Assist buyers with critical stats (counting spots placed/average rate of spots placed, etc.).  (yearly/as needed)
  • Assist the Media Department in various other projects, as they arise.
  • Research new trends in the Media world. (weekly)

REQUIREMENTS

  • BA/BS degree required
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software with proficiency in Excel
  • Previous Media experience a plus (Ad Agency or TV Station)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Willingness to work in a team environment; strong multitasking abilities
  • Self-driven and a quick-learner
  • Knowledge of Strata software is a plus
